A Lifetime Of Funerals

Simon Allen

There are books about Funeral Directors, A&E staff, Grief...
This is about the person standing at the lectern: the Celebrant.

About Simon

Simon is a Humanist celebrant specialising in funerals. He has assisted families across a very wide range of circumstances, from the expected death at the end of a full life, to the most tragic of events. Yet, there is often humour to be found in the lives that he celebrates.

A newspaper article, read in a lunch break at his desk in the City - changed the rest of his working life - indeed it changed his whole life.

In 1991, Simon led his first funeral and tells us how it made him sweat. Then we hear what brought him to that moment – and to this moment of writing a book.
